Why Work with a Specialist?

General therapy often focuses on "why" you feel the way you do. Specialized therapy focuses on "how" to get your life back. By choosing a specialist, you are investing in a targeted treatment designed specifically to reduce the power that OCD, BFRBs, and phobias have over your daily life.

RATES

Service Fees

Treating OCD, Emetophobia, BFRBs, and co-occurring concerns requires a specialized, evidence-based approach known as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), COMb, and PE or CPT. These types of therapy are more active and structured than traditional counseling, focusing on giving you practical tools to manage your intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and triggers.

Initial Clinical Consultation (60 mins): $200

During the first meeting, we will complete a comprehensive assessment and outline a specific treatment plan for your recovery. Each individual is unique and their treatment plan should be as well.

Individual Therapy Session (50-55 mins): $175

Extended Exposure Session (80-90 mins): $250

Certain phases of ERP and PE work best when we have more time to practice exposures without the pressure of a ticking clock. If you are interested in extended sessions, please let me know.

15 Minute Consultation: $0

Discuss what you seek from therapy and answer any questions you may have. This is a free 15 minute, no obligation call

Cancellation Policy/Late Cancel/No Show: Full rate of session

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not attend your appointment (no show), or reschedule/cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, you may be charged the late cancel/no show fee.

Out of Network Benefits

I am a private pay provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. This model ensures your complete privacy and allows us to determine the length and frequency of your care without outside restrictions.

However, most clients are able to use their "Out-of-Network" benefits to get reimbursed for a significant portion of the cost. I encourage you to explore your out-of-network benefits.

The "Superbill" Process:

Payment: You pay the full session fee at the time of our appointment.

Documentation: At the end of the month, I provide you with a Superbill. This is a detailed receipt that includes all the clinical information your insurance requires.

Reimbursement: You submit the Superbill to your insurance company, and they will typically mail a reimbursement check directly to you.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider

To find out exactly what your insurance will cover, call the "Member Services" number on your insurance card and ask the following:

  • Does my plan provide out-of-network benefits for mental health?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible that must be met before I can be reimbursed?

  • What is the reimbursement percentage for an outpatient therapy session (CPT code 90834)?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? (Outpatient is the level of care I provide.)

  • How do I submit a Superbill through your online portal or by mail?
